Volunteer fundraiser
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Volunteer Fundraiser for Family Support Link. In this role, you will play a crucial part in generating funds by initiating and supporting local fundraising activities. Your efforts will directly contribute to our organization’s ability to provide vital support to families in need.
Responsibilities:
- Help organise a diverse range of fundraising events on behalf of Family Support Link.
- Engage with local organizations and companies to encourage them to fundraise for our cause.
- Maintain regular communication with the Families and community’s Manager to coordinate efforts effectively.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in fundraising or event organisation is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey our mission and engage potential donors.
- Ability to identify and seize potential funding opportunities.
Supporting you:
- Comprehensive induction into Family Support Link and thorough guidance on your role as a Volunteer Fundraiser.
- Ongoing support and assistance from the Families and community’s manager throughout your volunteer journey.
- Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses incurred while carrying out fundraising activities.
- Access to a wide range of training opportunities and events to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Time Commitment:
The time commitment for this role is flexible and can be tailored according to your availability. However, having a willingness to attend occasional meetings would be beneficial to ensure effective collaboration and planning.
