Volunteer event helpers
Position Summary:
As a Volunteer Event Helper, you will play a vital role in assisting Family Support Link at community and networking events. Your involvement will help raise awareness of our charity and provide opportunities to connect with new individuals. By attending events alongside a support worker, you will actively contribute to our mission of supporting families affected by drug and/or alcohol use.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Family Support Link to have a presence at various community events, attending alongside a support worker.
- Assist in providing information and raising awareness about the impact of drug and/or alcohol use on families and loved ones.
- Help organise literature and informational materials for the events.
- Identify and suggest events where our presence would be beneficial.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Access to a vehicle and the ability to travel to event sites across Northamptonshire.
- Strong organizational skills to assist in coordinating event logistics.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with a diverse range of people.
- Passionate about Family Support Link’s mission.
Supporting you:
- Full induction into the role to ensure you are well-prepared.
- Ongoing support and supervision from a manager to guide and assist you throughout your volunteer experience.
- Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses incurred while fulfilling volunteer duties.
- Access to a variety of training opportunities and events to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Time Commitment:
Event frequency varies, and we do not have a regular schedule for them. Events can range from a few hours to a full day. We value your availability and flexibility, and we will provide you with sufficient notice and event details to ensure your participation. We can discuss and agree on the number of hours needed for event preparation.
