Donations
All cash donations, however big or small, help us to transform the lives of families affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. The easiest way for you to donate is by clicking the link below, which is linked to our Just Giving page. Once here, you can make a one-off donation or set up a regular monthly amount.

- £30 covers the cost of a 1:1 session for an adult or child
- £100 buys a food hamper for a family in need, at Christmas or over the school summer holidays
Received some unwanted birthday or Christmas presents and not sure what to do with them?
Instead of them going to waste, leaving you feeling guilty and ungrateful, put them to good use! We would love to take any brand new and unopened toiletries, clothing, accessories and children’s toys that are not wanted or needed. We can’t take confectionery, food or drink in case of allergies.
We will use these gifts to help families in need at Christmas, or as prizes if we hold a tombola or raffle. Please contact us so we can arrange to receive the items from you.
Amazon Wishlist
We understand that some people like to donate to charity and enjoy choosing the items themselves, instead of making cash donations. This is why our Amazon Wishlist remains live all year and is updated regularly to reflect our current focus.
At Christmas there will be a range of gifts to choose from, suitable for the children and families we are working with. At other times of the year, we may be running a campaign to support families during the long school holidays.
You can view our current Amazon Wishlist here
If you have something in mind that you would like to donate which is not possible through Just Giving or Amazon Wishlist, we would love to hear from you!
Thank you Family Support Link
I started getting support around 6 years ago. When I had the horrific experience of 2 family members with alcohol addiction. I got and I am still getting support from this lovely organisation. They are a great team helping me feel my self-worth and a very stronger person that I am now.
I was not alone
The 1:1 support enabled me to vent my feelings and helped me see the importance of looking after myself at the time of crisis. I think it prevented me from having a breakdown. The weekly group meetings let me know I was not alone in what I was going through.
Gain strength from my meetings
My support worker has been a rock, pointing out situations to me and showing me a clear vision of the directions which I may/may not take. The name Family Support couldn't be more precise, and I am grateful for each time I see her, knowing I must be strong with myself.
Grateful to have been referred to FSL
Just having someone to talk to who would listen and offer understanding and provide professional advice which was non-judgemental was a massive help as it helped me to see things a lot clearer. I am definitely in a much better place now than I was, to handle any difficulties that could arise in the future.
