Every year, we take some of the children that we support out for a positive activities day. This year, we are going to the Frontier Centre in Irthlingborough.
On 16th August, we will be taking 20 children aged 6-10 years and the activities on this day will be: archery, high ropes and open canoeing.
On 22nd August, we will be taking 20 children aged 11-17 years and the activities on this day will be: MI, high ropes and raft building.
As these days include water activities and many of the children will not be able to bring a change of clothing or a clean towel, we supply plimsoles, shirts and jogging bottoms in order to avoid any embarrassment. We also provide transport by means of a coach to get there and back.
These days are designed to take the burden away from them for a day, give them the chance to talk to other children in the same position as them, enable them to have fun and help to build self-esteem.
We are asking if you could contribute by donating towards the cost of these days. Any donation would be gratefully received.

As part of our I MATTER TOO project we are looking to invite outside agencies in to run specialist sessions for our young people. These will be around specialist topics such as staying safe online, music, cooking, sport and various activities. This may involve agencies (such as sports or music agencies) bringing in specialist equipment. We feel that working together with these types of agencies will give our young people access to activities they may not have tried before and will go a long way in helping them to develop skills and boost confidence and self-esteem.
