We provide free, accessible and non-judgemental support, to those affected by another’s substance misuse throughout Northamptonshire.

I Matter Too

Family Support Link are delighted to offer a 12-session structured program aimed at young people aged 9-11 and
11-17 year olds who are affected by another person’s substance. We have been awarded funding by the Big Lottery to allow us to facilitate 4 programmes per year, throughout the year, for the next 3 years.

The programme, which will run alongside normal services offered by the charity, will give young people the chance to take part in a different activity with each session helping them express themselves, build self-confidence, meet new friends and most importantly, have fun!

The project will be run from various locations throughout Northamptonshire so please contact us to find one close to you.

If you know of any young people who you feel would benefit from our service, please do not hesitate to contact us to refer them onto the 12-session structured programme. Alternatively, if you would like the charity to provide awareness regarding the project and/or any other services offered by Family Support Link, please call us on 01933 224632.

YOUR CHANCE TO GET INVOLVED

As part of our 12-session structured programme we are looking to invite outside agencies in to run specialist sessions for our young people. These will relate to specialist topics such as staying safe online, music, cooking, sport and various activities. This may involve agencies (such as sports or music agencies) bringing in specialist equipment.

Your help will allow us to enhance the 12-session structured programme and give every child that takes part the opportunity to have new and exciting experiences that will broaden their horizons, boost confidence, lift their self-esteem, develop new skills and help them discover their hidden talents.

FSL YOUTH COMMITTEE

The FSL Youth Committee is run by young people who meet once a month at our Wellingborough office. The committee allows them the opportunity to give young people who are affected by someone else's substance use a voice and be a part of shaping the future of the charity.

If you would like to be involved please contact us, you do not have to be an existing client of our services.

If you would like further information please contact us on 01933 224632 or fslcontact@yahoo.co.uk.
